OCA All State and All Star Policies

The blue and gold All-State jacket with the gold All-State patch that is shaped like the state of Oklahoma will be worn only by the athletes who have been selected as All-State by criteria approved by the Oklahoma Coaches Association.

The All-Star by class, all region, state champions or anyone other than OCA approved All-State athletes will not be eligible to wear the official All-State jacket with the gold patch shaped like the state of Oklahoma. This should exclude band, music, academics, etc.

Track and field All-State status is achieved by winning an event at the state meet. Seniors that are state champions are entitled to obtain a blue and gold All-Star jacket. When the underclass state champions participates his/her senior year, they may obtain a blue and gold All-State jacket. The top ten finishers in each class will achieve All-Star status in cross-country. Seniors may obtain a blue and gold All-State jacket when they participate their senior year.

All-State will be reserved for seniors only, no underclass persons are eligible for All-State recognition.

Individual sport coaches associations should submit their All-State selection process to the OCA for approval.
